New to our summer line-up is our Dancing Through Myth and Music Intensive! Dancers will journey through traditional Sri Lankan Folklore, exploring the story of Kataragama and the Feathers of the Peacock. Among nature’s most dramatically beautiful creatures, the peacock is a symbol of good luck throughout Asia.  During this Sri Lankan adventure, dancers discover the traditional and folk movements as well as explore ballet, modern, and jazz. Dancers are invited to celebrate the magic and mystery of how the peacock got its gorgeous blue-green feathers as well as learn about the symbolism of the Sri Lankan Kataragama who flies on the peacock’s wings and brings well-being to the people.  Come join us as we take flight on the wings of the Peacock!
