CityDance offers in-person classes for adults in a variety of genres with multiple registration options (full session, drop-in, or class card). Enjoy classes in ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, tap, zumba, African, and more taught by CityDance’s esteemed teaching faculty. Classes are open to ages 16 and up.

 

Classes Offered

Afro Beat: A fast-paced, exciting style of dance evolving from traditional African dance forms set to Afrobeats music.

Ballet: Beginner-level classes offer a breakdown of the fundamentals of classical ballet technique in both traditional and non-traditional settings.

Contemporary African: A fun fusion of West African, modern, and house dance genres.

Contemporary: A blend of various dance techniques with an added emphasis on improvisation and self expression.

Hip Hop Foundations: From house to hip hop to locking and more, learn the fundamentals of Hip Hop.

Jazz: A high-energy technique class with a focus on rhythm, isolations, and expression accompanied by traditional and contemporary jazz music.

Tap: Explore the Black American artform while learning traditional steps and terminology along with rhythm, coordination, and musicality.

Umfundalai: A contemporary African dance class that comprises movement vocabulary from dance traditions throughout the Diaspora.

ZocaBeats: A fun, energetic dance workout class that blends soca, Afropop, reggaeton, and club hits from all over Africa and the Caribbean.

Zumba: Dance to your favorite latin and international dance hits in this cardio dance fitness class!
