Aaron Jackson teaches and coaches adult students in Washington DC, New York City and internationally. Jackson’s ballet classes are structured and technique-focused; for adult students, and professional artists who wish to realize their full potential through personalized guidance and corrective action through class. Jackson’s classes are inspired in part by his training at The School of American Ballet (SAB), and his subsequent professional experience; So much of what is shared during class is taken from his personal syllabus and training method designed exclusively for adult students. The Jackson Method For Adult Ballet – focuses on the complete dancer by targeting and awakening the necessary “Strength and Stability” that is required when navigating ballet at an advanced level. Jackson’s Method helps demystify the technique surrounding: balletic posture, focus – épaulement, maximizing plié, balance, turnout/external rotation, transitional steps, extension, proper alignment for pirouettes, turns, jumps, and much more. Jackson’s Method challenges adult students and professional artists at varying levels to approach the work in a smarter and more efficient way. With structured barre and centre work, the classes are for those eager to adapt to their surroundings. Jackson’s approach to the work aids in helping those committed to achieving their best in the pursuit of clean and consistent ballet technique.
