CityDance Conservatory Dancers have received outstanding awards and accolades over the past several years at Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), the worlds’s largest student ballet competition, as well as other world renowned competitions. Through intensive training and mentorship, we prepare our students to present their solos works, and experience competing at the highest level.

Our students 2021 awards include: 

2021 Youth America Grand Prix Finals (Tampa, Florida)

  • Eric Poor recieved 1st place Contemporary and 1st place Classical in the Men’s Pre-competitive Category. He also received scholarship offers to the Kansas City Ballet, the Ballettschule Theater Basel (Switzerland) and Elmhurst Ballet School (United Kingdom).
  • Corbin Holloway received 2nd place overall in the Men’s Junior Category. He also received scholarship offers to Kansas City Ballet, the Miami City Ballet, the Ballettschule Theater Basel (Switzerland) and Royal Ballet (London).
  • Ela Sevillia received a scholarship to the Ballettschule Theater Basel (Switzerland).

2021 Youth America Grand Prix Regionals (Worcester, Massachusetts)

  • CityDance School & Conservatory received the Outstanding School Award.
  • Eric Poor received the Hope Award for the pre-competitive age division.
  • Corbin Holloway received the Youth Grand Prix Award for the junior age division.
  • Nagi Suzuki received Top 12 Contemporary for the junior age division.

2021 Youth America Grand Prix Regionals (White Plains, New York)

  • Rebecca Stewart awarded Youth Grand Prix Award
  • Simon Tischler placed 2nd in contemporary and 3rd in classical in the Junior age division

2021 New York City Dance Alliance Finals (Orlando, Florida)

  • Ela Sevillia awarded NYCDA 2021 Junior Outstanding Dancer 1st Runner-up
  • Simon Tischler scored platinum for his solo performance
  • Avani Agrawal scored platinum and placed number 24 nationally for her solo 

2021 New York City Dance Alliance (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania)

  • Avani Agrawal received an Outstanding Dancer Runner Up Scholarship, a platinum award and 10th place overall.

  • CityDance Conservatory Dancer Corbin Holloway received 1st Place National Junior High Score Soloist for his Variation from Le Corsaire (staged and coached by Stanislav Issaev).
  • CityDance Conservatory Dancer Eric Poor received 1st Place National Mini High Score Soloist for his Variation from Raymonda (staged and coached by Stanislav Issaev).
  • CityDance Conservatory Dancer Ela Sevilia received 10th Place National Mini High Score Soloist for her contemporary solo, “This Place Was a Shelter” (choreographed by Lorraine Spiegler).
  • Simon Tischler received top scores in the regional convention for his contemporary solo “Nightmare” (choreographed by Robert J. Priore).
