Every September, Bethesda Magazine features women in prominent roles across various business sectors doing impactful work in Montgomery County, Maryland.  This year, their Women in Business section includes the dynamic leadership team of CityDance Conservatory Founding Artistic Director, Lorraine Spiegler, and Executive Director, Rachel DiLeo. Their mission is to develop the next generation of dance artists and innovators, and graduates from the Conservatory have gone on to some of the most prestigious dance companies, and university dance programs around the country and the world, including Juilliard, SUNY Purchase, Gibney Dance, The Royal Ballet, The Washington Ballet, Mark Morris Dance Group and Staatsballett Berlin. Their work demonstrates their philosophy: it is important to leverage both the process and the person in pursuit of producing quality outcomes. They shared their thoughts about their commitment to developing dancers of the highest caliber, and why it’s vital to advocate for women in the workplace.
