CityDance Presents Mary Day’s The Nutcracker | December 20–21, 2025

On December 20–21, 2025, CityDance presented its inaugural production of Mary Day’s The Nutcracker at the Klein Theatre in Washington, D.C. The beloved holiday ballet, a treasured D.C. tradition since its creation in 1961, brought Clara’s magical Christmas Eve adventure to life across four performances.

Performances featured CityDance Conservatory dancers alongside world-class guest artists Xavier Núñez and Ao Wang of The Joffrey Ballet, blending international artistry with the next generation of talent.

All four performances sold out, giving CityDance students the opportunity to perform in front of full houses throughout the weekend. The production marked a meaningful milestone for the organization and a celebratory close to the year.

CityDance extends its sincere thanks to the staff, faculty, donors, production team, and backstage volunteers whose dedication and behind-the-scenes work made this production possible.
