Native of Brazil, Talissa Bavaresco is a DC/NYC dancer and choreographer trained in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Theater, and Commercial styles. A graduate of the Joffrey Ballet School’s Jazz & Contemporary Program, she has performed with Keigwin + Company, Jennifer Muller/The Works, Joffrey Ensemble, Humans Collective, Jazz Ain’t Dead, TunanuT, and more. Commercially, she has danced for Grammy-winning Kimbra, Grammy-nominated Andrew McMahon, and indie artist Ivan Modoni, as well as at PANORAMA Music Festival NYC and Six Flags’ Fright Fest. As Artistic Director of BAVA Dance, Talissa has presented work at NYC venues including the Apollo Theater, Bryant Park Dance Series, DUMBO Dance Festival, Dixon Place, and New York Jazz Choreography Festival, and in the DMV at PG Parks’ Choreographer’s Showcase and Dance Canvas.
