Stanislav Issaev is one of the most successful and internationally recognized dancers of his generation. A graduate of the Perm Choreographic School (1974), where he studied under I. Plakht and M. Mirgaripov, he became a leading dancer with the Moscow State Ballet Theater under the direction of Natalia Kasatkina and Vladimir Vasilyev, and later with Atlanta Ballet under Robert Barnett. He performed in more than 45 countries and was a long-standing partner of the legendary Ekaterina Maximova. His repertoire includes a long list of traditional classical performances as well as works by leading contemporary choreographers, including George Balanchine, Maurice Béjart, Roland Petit and N. Kasatkina with V. Vasilyev. Since 1994, Mr. Issaev has devoted himself to teaching, mentoring generations of dancers who now perform on major stages worldwide.
