Shane Santo Mulhern is the Executive Director of Thrive DC, a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing homelessness and food-insecurity in Washington D.C. ‘s wards 1 & 4. Rooted in the belief that healing, presence, and future-oriented growth are deeply interconnected; Thrive DC addresses client’s immediate needs, creates a vibrant present, and prepares for a thriving future. In doing so, we reaffirm the dignity and potential of every individual we serve, fostering a community where abundance is both a reality and a promise.
Previously, Shane’s career focused on education with senior management roles in the Washington, DC charter sector, the U.S. Department of Education, the NYC Department of Education, and various non profits.
Shane’s educational journey includes a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the College of the Holy Cross and a master’s degree in education policy from Harvard University. In his spare time he enjoys driving race tracks world-wide with his most notable accomplishment to date being avoiding a starring role on YouTube while driving the Nurburgring.
