Natalia Sheptalova-Robinett brings more than two decades of professional performance and teaching experience to her work as a ballet educator. She began her training at the Moscow Classical Ballet Academy in Moscow, Russia, studying under the direction of Gennady Ledyakh and completing the Academy’s rigorous Bolshoi Ballet curriculum. She later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Journalism from the Russian Academy of Theatrical Arts (GITIS).
Natalia’s professional performing career has included soloist and principal roles with the Russian National Ballet, Moscow Festival Ballet, Ballet Long Island, Gelsey Kirkland Ballet, Victoria Ballet Theatre, and American Swiss Ballet. She has toured nationally and internationally in a broad classical repertoire and has also performed extensively in contemporary works. Her career has included guest appearances with Metropolitan Ballet of Minnesota.
As an educator, Natalia has taught ballet technique, pointe, and character dance to students of all ages and levels at Gelsey Kirkland Academy, Joffrey Ballet School, Princeton Dance Theatre, Connecticut Ballet, Fadeyev Ballet Academy, American Liberty Ballet, American Swiss Ballet, Waldwick Ballet Academy, and other dance institutions. She has also created and directed children’s performances in New York City public schools, overseeing choreography, casting, music, and costumes for productions inspired by The Nutcracker, Thumbelina, The Snow Queen, and other beloved stories.
