Marie Renee McNair is a dedicated contributor to the DMV arts community with over a decade of experience. A recipient of the Virginia Johnson Scholarship at The Washington School of Ballet, she trained under the guidance of Septime Webre, Victoria Leigh, Rebecca Wright, and Rudolph Kharatian. Marie earned her BFA from the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase, where she studied with luminaries including Kazuko Hirabyashi, Megan Williams, Ted Kivitt, Stephanie Tooman, Rosanna Seravalli, BettiJane Sills, and Helen Pickett.
From 2012 to 2023, Marie served as Head of the Dance Department at Sidwell Friends School. Since joining CityDance in 2010, her role has evolved into her current position as Adult Program Specialist and Senior Faculty member. She balances administrative leadership and program coordination with her continued passion for teaching.
Recently, Marie married and welcomed a baby boy, adding a joyful new dimension to her lifelong commitment to dance.
