Mackenzie Davis, from Frederick, Maryland, began her dance training at age four at 24/7 Dance Studio before advancing at CityDance School and Conservatory under Lorraine Audeoud Spiegler and Stanislav Issaev. She trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, hip-hop, and musical theater, performing classical and contemporary works and placing 1st in contemporary and Top 12 in classical at Youth America Grand Prix. Mackenzie furthered her studies at summer intensives with Joffrey Ballet School and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre.
She joined Grand Rapids Ballet as a Trainee for the 2021/2022 season and as an Apprentice in 2023, performing roles in Val Caniparoli’s Nutcracker, Ben Stevenson’s Cinderella, Balanchine’s Serenade and Who Cares?, Christopher Stowell’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and others. Mackenzie will join Golden State Ballet as a Corps de Ballet member for the 2023/24 season.
