Lucas Castro trained at Centro de Dança Rio and The Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and continued studies at City Dance Conservatory, American Ballet Theatre School, The Washington School of Ballet, and The School at Jacob’s Pillow. His professional career includes Dance Theatre of Harlem, Utah Metropolitan Ballet (Principal), The Washington Ballet (Trainee), and Cia de Ballet Dalal Achcar. Lucas’s repertoire spans works by Robert Garland, George Balanchine, William Forsythe, Nacho Duato, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Amy Seiwert, Jennifer Archibald, Jacqueline Colledge, Septime Webre, Xiomara Reyes, Marius Petipa, and many others. He is an ABT-certified teacher, trained in the NTC curriculum from Pre-Primary to Level 3, and brings expertise in classical technique, contemporary choreography, and ballet pedagogy to his teaching and coaching.
