Kseniia Stetsenko

Kseniia is a ballet dancer, teacher, and choreographer from Kyiv, Ukraine. She received her professional training at the Lifar Academy of Dance and completed pedagogical studies at Drahomanov National Pedagogical University.

After graduating in 2016, she joined the National Opera of Ukraine as a soloist, performing leading roles in classical productions including Giselle, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, and Sleeping Beauty. During her time with the company, she toured internationally and performed in Japan, Taiwan, Italy, France, and Brazil. From 2020-22, she also served as a ballet teacher for the National Figure Skating Team of Ukraine.

After relocating to the United States, Stetsenko joined the faculty of several prominent Chicago dance institutions, including West Suburban Ballet Conservatory, The Chicago School of Ballet, A&A Ballet Conservatory, Inspire School of Dance, MazurDance Chicago, and Chicagosk8. Her students have received top placements at major competitions and acceptances to prestigious summer intensive programs.

Professional Accomplishments

  • 1st place at the International Competition of Classical and Contemporary Choreography 2014 (Kyiv)
  • Outstanding Teacher Award 2024— Youth America Grand Prix Chicago;
  • Award from the Mayor of Kyiv for contribution to the cultural development of the city;
  • Award — Top 12 Ensemble, Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) Chicago, for the choreography “Eclipse”
  • Since 2024 – Guest Principal Dancer at Ruth Page Center of Arts (Chicago)
