Erica Molina Hudak was born and raised in the DC Metropolitan area. She studied dance at Maryland Youth Ballet and Washington School of Ballet and also has a strong foundation in modern, jazz, tap, flamenco, hip hop and Musical Theatre. As a young student, she danced at the Kennedy Center’s Opera House, with the American Ballet Theatre in their production of The Nutcracker and Le Corsaire. Erica received numerous awards and scholarship while developing herself as a young artist and a scholarship through The Washington Post.
She attended University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where she was a contemporary major and finished up her studies at Catholic University of America as a Musical Theatre major. At UNCSA, she performed with Alonzo King’s Lines Ballet and The Límon Dance Company. She pursued a professional career as a dancer and performer after college in DC, where she joined DancEthos, as an original company member and appeared in many professional productions in the DMV.
Erica discovered her passion for teaching and choreographing at a young age. She has taught and choreographed at numerous schools in the DMV and has trained many professional ballet/contemporary dancers, her student students have received recognition at prestigious competitions with her solo and ensemble work. Erica currently teaches/ choreographs Maryland Youth Ballet, Berrend Dance Center, Joy of Motion and Metropolitan Ballet Theatre and now CityDance Studios.
