Daniel began studying flamenco in 2006 with Estela Vélez and has trained with masters including Alejandro Granados, La Farruca, Antonio Santaella, Adrian Santana, Miguel Vargas, and David Coria. He joined Furia Flamenca that same year and soon became a company soloist. His credits include the Kennedy Center Honors tribute to Justino Diaz (2021); Carmen (2015) and Don Giovanni (2007) with Washington National Opera; and soloist roles in Furia Flamenca’s Lorca: Flamenco Poetry (Atlas Performing Arts Center, 2011, 2015; Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, 2010; Alden Theater, 2009). He also performed in Ida y Vuelta: De Donde Vienes Mestizo in Managua, Nicaragua (2011) and Teatro Lirico DC’s La Verbena de la Paloma (Gala Hispanic Theater, 2014). Daniel has danced in tablaos in Puerto Rico and Nicaragua and has taught at Kirov Academy of Ballet (2009) and Maryland Youth Ballet (2017–present). He’s also trained in ballet, modern, and aerial dance.
