Anna Canova, a Bethesda native, grew up in Richmond, VA, where she fell in love with dance at age three. She attended Henrico High School’s Center for the Performing Arts and later earned a B.A. in Dance Business from Anderson University. Anna performed with the Walt Disney Company at Walt Disney World and worked for the American Dance Festival in School Operations, as well as with Dance Place in multiple capacities, before joining CityDance in 2019.
Anna is dedicated to achieving excellence in arts management and supporting the growth of dancers and artists within the DMV community through effective leadership, careful organization, and a lifelong commitment to the field of dance. In addition to her work in operations and production, Anna loves teaching tap as part of the Conservatory faculty, which allows her to be in the studio with students each week.
