Alexa Torres

Alexa Torres is a Company Member at The Washington Ballet. Born and raised in Santiago, Dominican Republic, she moved to Washington, DC at 14 to pursue a professional dance career. In her time with the company, Alexa has performed numerous roles, including Clara in The Nutcracker and the Fairy of Joy and Silver in The Sleeping Beauty. Known for her dedication and artistry, she continues to grow as a performer while inspiring younger dancers. Outside of dance, Alexa enjoys visiting art museums, practicing outdoor yoga, and taking pilates classes. Her lifelong motto, “Querer es Poder” (“What you wish for, you can achieve”), reflects her belief in pursuing dreams with perseverance and passion.
