About This Class

Join Namaala Liebenthal, Chelsey Cox, Tanya Nuchols, and Shona Colglazier for a dance fitness class based on the club/music video style of dance from Zambia, similar to Afrobeats/Afropop. Students will learn and review Zoca fundamentals while learning fun and challenging routines to popular urban music from across the African continent.

The current session runs through Wednesday, January 17, 2024.

This class will move to Tuesday nights starting with the new MidWinter Session on January 23, 2024. Click HERE to register.

This is an in-person class at CityDance @ Friendship Heights, 5207 Wisconsin Ave NW Washington DC 20015.

Cancellation Policy

If a class has low attendance, it may be subject to cancellation. Cancellation decisions for morning classes will be made by 9pm the night before and for evening classes by 3pm that day. EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 6, 2023: In the event you cannot attend your purchased/scheduled drop-in class, please email adults@citydance.net by 9pm the day before to receive a full credit and/or reschedule your drop-in class. Cancellation emails received after 9pm the night before will receive a 50% class credit. If a cancellation email has not been sent before the start of class, our No Show policy takes effect and you will forfeit the full class credit.
