Camp H: Dance Team Kick Off – Sapphire

New and returning Dance Team dancers will spend a week getting back into dance and prepping for the year ahead during this week-long camp that features a daily technique class followed by choreography rehearsals. Students will learn choreography to perform at Tenleytown’s Art All Night in September. On Thursday and Friday of the week, all three Dance Team levels will join for a fun day of sharing and getting to know one another.

REQUIREMENTS

By signing up for this camp your dancer is agreeing to participate in Tenleytown’s Art All Night performance in September 2023 and join the Dance Team for the 2023-24 season/school year.

The Dance Team is for dancers ages 10-18 and is housed at our Friendship Heights location. The team is for students who wish to commit time and energy towards learning additional choreography and performing in community events. The team rehearses on Saturdays during the school year.

Dance Team members are required to participate in the full week of camp in order to perform as well as take a minimum of two technique classes per week during the school year in addition to the Saturday rehearsals.

Dates: Monday, August 21st – Friday, August 25th, 2023

Times: Monday – Wednesday, 1:00pm-4:30pm; Thursday – Friday, 9:00am-3:00pm

Location: This is an in-person camp at CityDance @ Friendship Heights, 5207 Wisconsin Ave NW Washington DC 20015.

Camp capacity is 16.
