A Pass the Peace Popping Workshop

On Sunday March 3rd, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, A Pass the Peace Workshop will be presented by Bmore Housefulin partnership with CityDance and Strathmore. 
Fabel shares history, technique, foundational steps, moves, musicality, and variations in movement based on his M.A.Z.E.™ (Movement Activate Zoetic Energy) concept. Fabel’s M.A.Z.E.™ concept explores ways to challenge your own range of movement and approach to the dance floor or performance space. Fabel will also teaches a sequence that incorporates various components of the dance.

Amma's Chasm's Performance with Monioque Walker

On Friday March 8th, at 7:00 PM, the conservatory students will perform, together with Wold Dance professionals, Monique Walker's new production of Amma's Chasm at Joe's Emporium.

Wellness Workshop

CityDance cares about your wellness, and we have planned this very special and interactive mind & body workshop. We invited highly professional speakers: Monika Saigal and Dawn Smith-Theodore to facilitate the Wellness Workshop at 5:30pm on Saturday, March 30th.The workshop is FREE and attendance is required for all Conservatory and Select students at this CityDance Wellness Workshop! This workshop takes place during our regular rehearsal hours. We encourage parents to attend as well.Please RSVP by Thursday, March 28th by sending email to Cristina so we can plan accordingly. 
Interactive mind & body workshop teaches dancers about: 
  • The nutrients they need most; 
  • How to choose healthy meals & snacks; 
  • Meal timing for improved energy & performance; 
  • How to prevent injury & fatigue; 
  • How to develop a healthy relationship with food; 
  • How to handle rejection at auditions; 
  • Self-esteem for the dancer; 
  • How to balance dance and life; 
  • The perfectionistic mind; Stress Reduction.

CityDance S&C Summer Camps/School Intensives

The School & Conservatory's themed Dancing Around the World Camps (ages 4-9) offer learning and fun through culture and creativity while allowing students to grow in their dance technique with daily classes in ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, and world dance forms.  Our Dance UP Programs (ages 10-14) offer serious young dancers a chance to elevate their technique and artistry through focused genre-based study and prepares them to advance in the year ahead.  There is no audition necessary and each camp culminates in an in-studio performance for family and friends.

CityDance S&C Summer Audition

Experience world-class artistry through six weeks of intensives for the pre-professional dancer with Dance Theatre of Harlem, Koresh Dance Company, CityDance's Vaganova training and guest artists from around the world. CityDance Conservatory/Select Summer Intensives are ideal for dancers interested in a challenging exploration of classical and contemporary training with daily classes in ballet, pointe, pas de deux, modern, contemporary, jazz, and African.
