CityDance School and Conservatory: Important Update on Coronavirus & CityDance School and Conservatory
CityDance is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our students, families and employees and as the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation develops, the health of our community remains our top priority.During Governor Hogan's press conference last night he shared that three people in Maryland, specifically Montgomery County, have been identified with the Coronavirus. As a result of this development, Governor Hogan has placed Maryland under a state of emergency. We are monitoring every aspect of developing situations as closely and carefully as possible. If cases continue to develop in any of our CityDance locations, we will follow the local school system regarding possible closures and class/rehearsal cancellations. Hopefully, the situation will become contained, and if there is any disruption to the students’ curriculum, we will adapt as needed.
Please refer to these links that we are sharing among our partners at Strathmore which includes factual information and updates:
We have informed all of our staff to stay home if they are not feeling well. Students should never attend classes/rehearsals if they are exhibiting any of the following symptoms: fever/feverish chills, incessant coughing/sneezing, sore throat, runny/stuffy nose, unusual muscle/body aches or fatigue. Please continue to follow our absence notification protocol to notify our CityDance staff when your child is absent due to an illness.
