CityDance School & Conservatory Invites You to New Online Classes
It was good to have many of you reach out to us recently in support of us during these difficult times that we are all going through together. Thank you so much for sharing with us how valuable the School and Conservatory has been in your children’s lives and how strongly students desire our training and contact/relationship with our Teaching Faculty and Staff. Your communications have been very appreciated. Along with all of you, we are observing Governor Hogan’s directives in these uncertain times and we are in alignment with the MCPS online learning schedule between March 30 and April 24. As you may know, Strathmore is currently closed to the public, and given Hogan’s recent decree, we are not permitted to use our Rockville spaces as well.
While life has certainly changed quite a bit for all of us in these few weeks, one thing that has become stronger is our passion for what we do, and CityDance School and Conservatory's commitment to keeping the art of dance strong and vibrant in the lives of our gifted students.
Through the creativity of our artistic team, and the use of Microsoft TEAMS, we have to come together to create a new online system for our dance training and education. And so, together, we embark on a new journey with our “CityDance Virtual School and Conservatory”! We will be reaching out to you in a few days with directions and guidelines for our online learning platform. Please rest assured, our Online learning team will be monitoring the classes, handling issues as they arise, and will be taking all relevant notes so that we may alleviate any problems that might occur in the launching process. As with every new system, we ask for your patience and kind cooperation as we work through the implementation of this new endeavor.
We are all very hopeful for a seamless and positive student experience going forward!
Thank you for continuing to entrust your young talents to us in our mission to provide excellent dance training and performance and individual growth in and through dance!
We are thinking of you and your families and wishing you all the best for continued good health.
Take good care,
Lorraine and Asanga
