Saying Goodbye to Mr. Vernon E. Jordan Jr.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Mr. Vernon E. Jordan Jr., a tireless civil rights leader and brilliant mind, who we were lucky to call our friend. A statuesque and charismatic presence, Mr. Jordan’s warmth and kindness endeared both friends and colleagues. He engendered a spirit of community with all members of the CityDance family— students, staff and board members alike. He lived and worked with authenticity, and we will be forever grateful to have received his guidance and wisdom. We celebrate his extraordinary life and hold the tenacious spirit of his legacy in our hearts forever.
