Master Class with Halcyon Arts Lab Fellow

CityDance School & Conservatory is excited to welcome Tariq Darrell O'Meally to teach a master class this Saturday, September 8. Tariq is a Fall 2018 Halcyon Arts Lab Fellow, which means he will spend the next nine months in DC working on projects addressing social justice, civic engagement and community building. Tariq is Halcyon's first ever Arts Lab Fellow for dance, and we are thrilled to have him in DC! Learn more about the Halcyon Arts Lab here.

Artist Bio: Tariq Darrell O’Meally has been chosen as a Halcyon Arts Lab Fellow. He is the first performance artist in dance and choreography to participate in the nine-month residency program based in Washington, DC. O’Meally has worked and performed with Johnnie Cruise Mercer & the Red Project NYC and Ashani Dances, among others, and has presented his work at many venues and events including The John F. Kennedy Center, Mid-Atlantic North Gala at the American College Dance Association and Richmond Dance Festival.He received his B.F.A in Dance & Choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is Dance Place’s 2017-2018 New Releases Commissioned Artist and a 2018-19 Joe’s Movement Emporium NextLOOK Artist. He is the Artistic Director of Tariq Darrell+the UNUM Dance Collective.
