Corbin Holloway Wins Hope Award at YAGP International Finals
Last weekend, Petite Conservatory Dancer Corbin Holloway, age 11, was honored with his third Hope Award during Youth America Grand Prix International Finals in New York. The Hope Award is given for the best overall performance in the Pre-Competitive Age division (this is YAGP Grand Prix award for his age category). This award is given to the dancer who, by the consensus of the YAGP jury panel, has exceeded all other dancers in their age division in both the Classical Ballet and Contemporary/Open Dance categories.
Corbin was also invited to dance "Le Corsaire" in the YAGP 20th anniversary gala as a "Star of Tomorrow" alongside professionals from American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet and Mariinsky Ballet, and he was awarded a full scholarship to ABT's summer intensive.
From CityDance School & Conservatory Director Lorraine Spiegler:
"I am very proud of our dedicated and focused work here at CityDance in the Conservatory Program - it is truly a place where talent meets excellence in training in both classical ballet and contemporary dance! Also, I am so happy to have invited talented Stanislav Issaev, to come on board as our Ballet Master a few years ago - he is an internationally renowned ballet professional and former gold medalist at Varna as well as a Nijinsky Prize winner. Stas was Corbin's classical coach and works closely with me and our dancers in the classical ballet program."
A huge congratulations to Corbin - we are very proud of him and grateful to our coaches and the support of the CityDance family.
