The CityDance International Intensive brings together a talented and exciting lineup of American artists who work internationally as well as international guests who have experience producing their work online. This intensive serves to ignite a young dancer’s creativity and accelerate his or her technical and artistic trajectory.

Dancers train across classical ballet and contemporary techniques and learn about Dance and Film. Students will also have the opportunity to work with videographers and choreographers who have experience with dance videos. Amongst other guests, Yuanyuan Wang, Founding Artistic Director of Beijing Dance Theatre, will share her rich and robust experience and choreography from her world-famous dance company.  Yuanyuan Wang will create a dance video linking choreography for professional dancers in her company with choreography created by the intensive dancers.

All students will have a full classical and contemporary technique class each day as well as repertory experiences of high caliber in both genres. Classical repertoire includes variations for advanced students as well as ensemble pieces, led by Conservatory Ballet Master Stanislav Issaev, Artistic Director Lorraine Spiegler and other CityDance teaching faculty.

Dancers will present new repertory and their new individual creations during the intensive in an online livestream showing on the last day of the intensive.
