The Harman Center for the Arts is a 21st-century performing arts center for the Shakespeare Theatre Company and Washington's performing arts community. It is home to the Lansburgh Theatre and Sidney Harmal Hall. As an artistic partner in the Harman Center for the Arts, CityDance Ensemble performs an annual season in the Harman Center for the Arts.

The Harman Center for the Arts is located in heart of the Penn Quarter Neighborhood – a flourishing cultural center amidst a residential community. It is nearby some of the city’s most prestigious attractions such as the Smithsonian Museum of American Art, National Portrait Gallery, National Gallery of Art, and National Archives.

There are three easy ways to purchase tickets:

Seating
Seating for the Harman Center for the Arts concert series is assigned. Please arrive early enough to purchase tickets or pick up your tickets from will call. View the Lansburgh Theatre and Sidney Harman Hall seating charts.

Directions by Car
From Virginia via I-395
Remain on I-395 all the way into the District of Columbia, crossing into the city on the 14th Street Bridge. Upon reaching Pennsylvania Ave., NW (at approximately the 4th stoplight) turn right. You will then be heading East towards the U.S. Capitol. Turn left at the stoplight at 7th St., NW. Go North on 7th Street. Turn left on D Street. To use the Colonial Parking Garage, turn right on 8th St., and the garage will be halfway up the block on your right. To use the PMI Parking Garage, continue on D Street past 8th St., and the garage will be on your right.

From Virginia via I-66
Remain on I-66 all the way into the District of Columbia, crossing into the city on the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge, at which point it becomes Constitution Avenue. Remain on Constitution Ave. until reaching 7th St., NW. Turn left at the stoplight at 7th Street. Turn left on D Street. To use the Colonial Parking Garage, turn right on 8th St., and the garage will be halfway up the block on your right. To use the PMI Parking Garage, continue on D Street past 8th St., and the garage will be on your right.

From Bethesda, Rockville, Potomac and points west
Reach Wisconsin Ave., NW via either Interstate 270 and River Road or Rockville Pike (which becomes Wisconsin Ave.) Remain on Wisconsin Ave. until reaching Massachusetts Ave., NW just south of the National Cathedral. Cross over Mass. Ave. and turn left onto Garfield St., after two blocks turn right returning onto Mass. Ave. Remain on Mass. Ave. all the way downtown to 13th St., NW. After emerging from the tunnel, get into the rightmost lane to avoid Convention Center construction, turn right onto 13th Street. Go south through 6 or 7 stoplights to E Street, NW, turn left onto E St. Go east five blocks to 8th St., turn right, go halfway down the block and turn left into the Colonial Parking Garage. To use the PMI Parking Garage, continue down 8th St., and turn right on D Street, NW. The garage will be on your right.

From Rt. 50, Baltimore and points east
Reach New York Ave., NE via either Rt. 50, I95 or the Baltimore Washington Parkway. Remain on New York Ave. all the way downtown to 6th St., NW, turn left on 6th. Go south on 6th Street past the Verizon Center to E St., NW, turn right at E St., go 2 blocks to 8th St., turn left, go halfway down the block and turn left into the Colonial Parking Garage. To use the PMI Parking Garage, continue down 8th St., and turn right on D Street, NW. The garage will be on your right.

From Capitol Hill, DC
Reach Constitution Avenue NE, going west remain on Constitution as it crosses Pennsylvania Avenue, NW until reaching 7th Street. Turn right on 7th, then left on D Street. To use the Colonial Parking Garage, turn right on 8th St., and the garage will be halfway up the block on your right. To use the PMI Parking Garage, continue on D Street past 8th St., and the garage will be on your right.

From the DC Central Business District
Reach K St., NW, going east remain on K until reaching 9th St., NW. Turn right onto 9th going south through 4 stoplights to E St., NW, turn left at E St., go one block to 8th St., turn right, go halfway down the block and turn left into the Colonial Parking Garage. To use the PMI Parking Garage, continue down 8th St., and turn right on D Street, NW. The garage will be on your right.

Directions by Metro
There are two Metro stations within a few blocks of the theatre, the Archives-Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter on the Yellow and Green Lines – one and a half blocks south of the theatre, or the Gallery Place-Chinatown on the Red, Yellow and Green Lines – two blocks north of the theatre. Use the Verizon Center exit.

Street Parking
Due to the various surrounding restaurants, retail businesses and other venues, street parking may be difficult to find. However, should you choose to park on the street, please read the signs carefully for street parking restrictions.

Where do I buy tickets?

When should I arrive?
Seating forEntangled, Jungle Books, and Scandal is assigned. Please arrive with enough time prior to the concert to buy tickets or pick up your tickets from will call.

What should I wear?
We invite out patrons to wear what is most comfortable for them. Casual or business-casual attire is appropriate. Feel free to dress in more formal attire should you be attending a VIP post-concert reception.

Is the Lansburgh Theatre accessible to persons with disabilities?
